Approvals and NOCs
Approvals and NOCs for Fit-Out and Renovation in Dubai
A fit-out or renovation in Dubai can need several approvals: a DM building permit, DEWA for power and water, Dubai Civil Defence for fire safety, Trakhees in island and free-zone areas, plus the community or Owners Association NOC. We manage them as part of the job and show them as their own lines in your itemized BOQ.

The approvals a Dubai fit-out or renovation needs
Depending on the property and the scope, you may need a building permit, utility sign-offs, fire-safety approval and one or more NOCs. We map the exact set at the free site visit.
Dubai Municipality (DM) building permit
On the mainland, the DM building-modification permit is the core approval for work that affects layout, plumbing, electrical or structure.
DEWA for power and water works
Work that touches the electrical supply or plumbing needs a DEWA sign-off. We handle the application and the coordination.
Dubai Civil Defence (DCD) for fire safety
Anything affecting fire or life-safety systems needs Dubai Civil Defence approval. We include it where the scope requires it.
Trakhees for island and free-zone areas
On Palm Jumeirah, Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Islands, Al Furjan and the free zones, approvals go through Trakhees rather than Dubai Municipality.
The community and Owners Association NOCs
Villas need the community developer NOC; apartments need the building Owners Association NOC. We arrange whichever applies.
How we handle them all, line-itemed in your BOQ
We prepare the drawings, submit each approval, and manage them to completion. Every approval is its own line in your itemized BOQ, so the cost is clear and nothing is buried.
