Kitchen and Bathroom Renovation in Dubai: Process and Finishes

Kitchens and bathrooms are the two rooms people renovate first, and the two where the result depends most on what you cannot see. Good joinery and proper waterproofing decide whether a kitchen or bathroom still looks right in five years. Here is how we run a kitchen and bathroom renovation in Dubai, and the finishes that matter.

Where these renovations go right or wrong

A kitchen or bathroom can look finished and still be wrong underneath. In a kitchen, it is the joinery: cabinets that are made and fitted properly last, and ones that are not start to sag and swell. In a bathroom, it is the waterproofing: get it wrong and the damage shows up months later, behind the tiles. We plan both around the parts you do not see, not just the finishes you do.

The process, step by step

We keep it simple and open. A free site visit, then an itemized bill of quantities with every line written out, so you can see what each part costs before you decide. We handle any approvals the work needs, then strip out, run the first and second fix for plumbing and electrical, waterproof, tile, fit the joinery, and finish. We check the work and close a snag list before handover.

Kitchens: bespoke joinery and the things that last

The heart of a kitchen renovation is the joinery. Bespoke joinery means cabinets, kitchen systems and storage made to fit your space rather than forced into it, with the wardrobes and walk-in closets to match if you want them. We plan the layout around how your family actually cooks and lives, and we coordinate the plumbing and electrical so the appliances and the lighting land where they should.

Bathrooms: waterproofing is everything

In a bathroom, waterproofing comes before anything pretty. We take the wet areas back to the substrate, apply the waterproofing properly, and only then tile. Done right, you never think about it again. Done cheaply, it is the most expensive mistake in the room, so we treat it as the part of the job that is not negotiable.

Finishes, specification and the itemized BOQ

The finishes are where your budget and taste meet. Tiles, units, fittings, worktops and lighting all move the cost, and standard and premium options are both fine. Because we quote on an itemized BOQ, you can see the difference each choice makes and decide line by line. The number you approve is the number you pay.

Permits: when you need them

A like-for-like refresh inside a villa may not need a permit, but anything that touches plumbing, electrical or the layout usually does, and an apartment will need the building NOC as well. We tell you during the site visit exactly what your job needs, and we handle the approvals.

How long it takes

A single bathroom or kitchen is a shorter job than a full home, and the timeline depends on the scope and the finishes. We give you a realistic schedule during the visit and keep you updated as the work moves.
