Trakhees Approval for Renovation on Palm Jumeirah

Palm Jumeirah and the island and free-zone areas fall under Trakhees, so a renovation permit there is a Trakhees approval rather than a Dubai Municipality one. We handle the Trakhees process and the community NOC, and list them in your itemized BOQ.

Why Palm Jumeirah renovations go through Trakhees, not Dubai Municipality

The Palm is a Nakheel-developed island under the Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, so its building approvals are handled by Trakhees rather than Dubai Municipality. The route is a Nakheel NOC first, then a Trakhees permit.

What a Trakhees renovation permit covers

A Trakhees permit covers the modification work itself, with EHS requirements and Dubai Civil Defence sign-off where fire or life-safety systems are affected. The drawings must be right and the contractor licensed.

The community NOC on the Palm

Before the Trakhees permit, the Nakheel Community Management NOC confirms your plans respect the community rules. We arrange it as the first step.

Other Trakhees areas: Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Islands and Al Furjan

Trakhees also governs other Nakheel communities, including Jumeirah Park, Jumeirah Islands and Al Furjan. If your villa is in one of these, the route is Nakheel NOC then Trakhees, the same as the Palm.
